The Corporate Services Division (CSD) services the rest of NORMA. It handles all the administrative tasks for the organization including budget management, legal advice, economic analysis and communications. The Corporate Services Division supports the entire organization including the three other Divisions (Fisheries Management, Science and Compliance) with administration, human resources, IT, legal and economic advice, finance and budget. This is the position and Division that binds the organization together so that NORMA can work efficiently and effectively.
Because ICT unit is within the CSD, the division is also responsible for the pursuing FSM's Maritime boundary and extend continental shelf delamination issues. The overall management and oversight of NORMA's information technology, including the information management System (IMS), network servers, digitization and electronic reporting of catch fall under this division. CSD is the central backbone of the organization, the division ensures that NORMA operates seamlessly, efficiently, and with full regulatory compliance.
In addition to core administrative operations, CSD directs the Information Communication Technology (ICT) unit, which maintains NORMA's primary tech systems like servers, electronic catch reports, and the main information database. On top of everyday IT upkeep, this team handles crucial ocean mapping work, using GIS technology to mark official fishing zones and manage Micronesia's sea borders and offshore boundaries.
