Announcement: FSM Observer Recruitment 2025

Requirements

The National Oceanic Resources Management Authority (NORMA), FSM National Government, is currently recruiting interested individuals from the states of Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae to be trained and certified as FSM Fisheries Observers.

To be eligible, an interested individual must

• Be a high school graduate, aged 21 to 40
• Hold no criminal record
• Be mentally and physically fit
• Have a valid passport with no active police record or known cases overseas

Testing Dates

The screening test will be administered as follows; successful candidates will be recruited for
further training.

• Yap Pre-selection Test/Interview: April 1-5, 2025
• Chuuk Pre-Selection Test/Interview: April 8-11, 2025
• Kosrae Pre-Selection Test/Interview: April 15-21, 2025
• Pohnpei Pre-selection Test/Interview: April 23- 29, 2025
